Will this tire work well with a Nitro Moose? I ride a 2021 BETA 390 RR Race edition bike in Baja California Mexico. and was recommended a Mitas 454 but I don't think it comes in my bikes recommended size of 140/80X18, so I'm looking to buy this,Mitas TERRA FORCE-EH 140/80-18 Enduro Competition Off-Road SUPER SOFT EXTREME 70M 2 Green Tube Rear Tire instead. Also what does "Green or Yellow tube"mean?

Yes this tire will work great with your Beta 390. The double green stripe indicates it is a super soft tread compound and soft carcass. It's designed to provide maximum grip on hard slippery surfaces such as rocks, roots etc. It will work well with a Nitro moose. Make sure you run the 140 moose or it will feel extra soft. Last week I used one of these tires on my Suzuki RMX450 on the Colorado 500. I intended to change it after day two but ran out of time and ended up putting 496 miles on it in 4 days. The tire was completely worn out but we ran alot of roads as well as single track. It will wear quickly and is not intended for lots or road use, gravel, dirt or pavment. It's truly a Enduro tire. The yellow strip version is a harder compound and will provide longer life and work better in a variety of conditions.
If you want a tire that has longer life and more durability for a wide variety of terrain I would suggest the following:
C-18 Eagle yellow stripe
XT-754
Both are only available in a 120/80-18 but that size works well for 390-450cc.

I forgot to answer your question about the tube. Our text is confusing as it combines the strip color code with the word tube. They are not connected. Tube refers to the fact that it is a tube type tire vs tubless. The green, double green, yellow stripes refer to the compound of the tire and it's intended use. This is a big advantage with Mitas as you can buy different compounds for different applications. If you go to the offroad section of our landing page you can find a brief description of the different strip colors(compounds).
